Blogging 101 Reloaded..June 2015

Taking Blogging 101 for the second time. First time round was January 2015, my first participation  into social media, and oh my did I just love creating my website and beginning  this blog. Has been just the best of experiences for me, and I am so inspired and grateful to the 169 people who have chosen to follow me.

The questions for Assignment One

Who I am ?  The who I am is on my ‘About’ page, and please pop on over and introduce yourself.

Why am I here?  I want to make changes to my blog, build a better one, and understand how it works on a deeper level. I want my blog to really speak out loud for me and allow people to know who I am, and to get my stories out there.

There is a poem by Brendan Kennel that rather sums it up nicely what I need to do in my life…and blog right now.

— “Begin” by Brendan Kennell

Begin

Begin again to the summoning birds
to the sight of the light at the window,
begin to the roar of morning traffic
all along Pembroke Road.
Every beginning is a promise
born in light and dying in dark
determination and exaltation of springtime
flowering the way to work.
Begin to the pageant of queuing girls
the arrogant loneliness of swans in the canal
bridges linking the past and future
old friends passing though with us still.
Begin to the loneliness that cannot end
since it perhaps is what makes us begin,
begin to wonder at unknown faces
at crying birds in the sudden rain
at branches stark in the willing sunlight
at seagulls foraging for bread
at couples sharing a sunny secret
alone together while making good.
Though we live in a world that dreams of ending
that always seems about to give in
something that will not acknowledge conclusion
insists that we forever begin.

— From The Essential Brendan Kennelly

I reread my January response to these questions. So many changes in my life and lifestyle since then. Feel the need to catch my balance and vision for the blog. One sentiment that continues to resonate and excite me every day about blogging is “one of the best parts is the surprise of seeing who shows up.”

Let’s have some fun!

    1. Oh it is of the most expensive pair of boots I ever bought…as a gift to myself for a job promotion .and boy what a good investment as I still wear them, they and I have so many shared years of adventure and trust one another for sure footing and confidence. This was taken at the ‘saddle’ of Cathedral Rock in Sedona Arizona many years ago.

  1. Oh well done! I did 101 twice back to back after I met you. It was worth it. It is on going but I really don’t have so much time now for blogging. However it doesn’t go away, I don’t read magazines any more, if I need to read I browse through blog land. So many interesting people!
