Thou Paradise of exiles, Italy! – Percy Bysshe Shelley
Hiking from Almalfi to Pontone for lunch, climbing steadily upward through the ruins of 13th century paper-mills are the best kind of days.

i’ve been to Amalfi with a tour group. Seeing it through your camera’s eye is a whole new experience! I feel richly drawn into what I’m seeing in your living pictures.

Thank you so much. The paper mills are a favorite haunt to explore. We can go for hours and not see another person until we get to Pontone. It is quite magical and timeless.

Tomorrow my sister visits on her way from Venice. I wait with anticipation for her talk of Italy. I’ve been no further than Aoste myself. But it is a country I would love to visit fully one day. For now I’ll enjoy your photos.

Double good time coming for you. . Sister visiting with stories of Venice!
I’m really happy that you enjoy my photos. This collage was difficult to edit down because I have hundreds of photos of the paper-mills.

Thank you so much. The paper-mill ruins are one of my favorite places on the planet and Ava Maria my absolutely favorite piece of music, that sticks in my head when there.

Love, love, LOVE Amalfi. It has been 7 years since we last visited. Time to return soon!
We are taking a trip to the Southwest U.S.in spring of 2016, and would appreciate any ideas for an itinerary and key sites (beyond the obvious). We will be staying with relatives in the Phoenix area, probably mid-April to early May.

Jack, I would be more than happy to make some recommendations. Let me give it a think over of what and where I would want to visit and I’ll be in touch soon.

Absolutely gorgeous, it brought a sigh of wonder from me and joy that I can share in someone’s journey. The old beaten path calls to the historical enthusiasts.

Thank you so very much. It is a truly a place that allows the imagination to easily slip into envisioning the people and process of making the paper. The sound of water flowing permeates the entire area.
