Camera Lucida: Autumn Lane

“That old September feeling, left over from school days, of summer passing, vacation nearly done, obligations gathering, books and football in the air … Another fall, another turned page: there was something of jubilee in that annual autumnal beginning, as if last year’s mistakes had been wiped clean by summer.”
― Wallace Stegner, Angle of Repose

Have you noticed? Every week Camera Lucida, sponsored by Julia                        at My Red Page is gaining in momentum and popularity. Isn’t it time you showed up too?

This week’s theme: Autumn Lane

This week our challenge is to interpret autumn…the lane that separates the end of summer and the beginning of fall. Capture the beautiful colours of trees…the ripe and tasty autumn harvest…the fine cross line between worlds that are so close but so far apart…

Today’ s Music: Judy Collins & Pete Seeger —“Turn, Turn, Turn”

  1. I love autumn colours. We don’t have four seasons where I live currently. I used to live in Australia for couple years, and I loved seeing the leaves turn. Hues of red, orange, yellow. So lovely. Thanks for sharing these photos with us!

  2. You nailed it. Really love the super heroes in the corn field. And Judy Collins voice is so soothing just speaking and then she sings, it’s like an angel.
Have you ever been to New England in the autumn? Many people travel just for the foliage, we call them ‘leaf peepers’. When people ask if I miss America it’s the weather that I find myself reminiscing about.
