For once you have tasted flight
You will walk the earth
With your eyes turned skywards,
For there you have been
And there you will long to return.

I love da Vinci’s words. Your pictures shot from the air are spectacular. I’ve been to Sedona and seen the amazing red rock formations. Thanks for taking me there again.

How lovely to become a blackbird for a while, flying the skies. Once we were carried in a small four seater plane to the sea and back. A small taste. x

I learned to fly in a small Cessna 172. Flying truly has been the point when my body/mind/heart/ spirit/ and emotions align in such a powerful way.

Magnificent! Just magnificent! I’m one of those who leaves nose-prints on aircraft windows. Alas, others must do the the flying…

Oh Thank you. I always wonder what birds must think of our human activities down o the ground from their daily normal perspective of flight.

Brings to mind another peom I bet you know, or would enjoy: John Magee’s “High Flight” (starts, Oh I have slipped the surly bonds of earth / And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings…)

YES! That poem says it. Learning to fly….more importantly, learning to land without scaring myself trembling ….is one of the most amazing experiences of my life!
