Once You Have Tasted Flight

For once you have tasted flight
You will walk the earth
With your eyes turned skywards,
For there you have been
And there you will long to return.
Leonardo da Vinci

Nothing better than learning to fly from that slip of an airport in Sedona Arizona.

  1. Brings to mind another peom I bet you know, or would enjoy: John Magee’s “High Flight” (starts, Oh I have slipped the surly bonds of earth / And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings…)

    1. YES! That poem says it. Learning to fly….more importantly, learning to land without scaring myself trembling ….is one of the most amazing experiences of my life!
