“May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous,
Leading to the most amazing view.
May your mountains rise into and above the clouds.”
A good days hiking to the silence via the Margs Draw #63 Trail will certainly straighten the spine and square the shoulders. Recent weather has provided a soaking cleanse and everything from the red rock spirals to spider webs show up fresh, virtuous, righteous, and good. Washes still hint at flowing, and in the deep shadowy stretches there is a chill, cold mud, promises of mystery, surprise, and coyote scat.
The Munds Mountain Wilderness welcomed us, the early morning storm clouds coming from the northwest pass, following the Mogollon Rim of the Colorado Plateau above. By the time we arrive where we wanted to be for lunch and a lounge about, we had stowed our hats and gloves, the sky clearing to blue sky sun warm on bare skin.
A most excellent day spent hiking and pleased to share these photos with you. Peace and Blessings during this month of Holidays, and all the opportunities that a well celebrated Holiday can bring for peace and good will among us. Thank you for supporting JoHannaMassey.com.
